Title: "Cosmology: What's it all About?" (Abstract)

Speaker:  Lee F. Greer, III (Bio)

Date: Saturday, October 1, 2005
Time: 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Location: 24769 Redlands Blvd., Ste. A
                Loma Linda, California 92354

Abstract: The presentation defines and examines the colorful story of the battle to control cosmology from the centuries BCE through the 20th century.  It then proceeds to investigate accumulated data from the last 40 years which suggests the universe may be far vaster, older, and qualitatively different than that depicted in the conventional hot big bang cosmology (HBBC).

Also discussed is the battle to secure a fair hearing for this data.  Data that is significant in the ongoing debates about the 'nature' and 'existence of God.'

Illustrated with magnificent images from the Hubble Space Telescope, the Chandra X-ray Observatory, the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), and elsewhere, this presentation brings important information to light.

How should thoughtful Christians and other monotheists react?

The truth is still out there.  Openness and free-thinking are required of us all.
